Our Whitening System

At our practice, we use the Opalescence whitening system, in which a peroxide-based whitening gel is applied to the teeth to eliminate discoloration and stains without causing any discomfort to your teeth or gums. Opalescence is safe, non-invasive, and takes effect in about one hour, unlike over-the-counter products, which can take months of repetitive applications to begin working.

The Process

The in-office Opalescence teeth whitening process is a simple one. First, your dentist will use a shade guide in order to determine the desired level of whitening. Next, your dentist will mix the appropriate amount of whitening gel in a syringe that is connected to a special brushed tip.

Finally, your dentist will apply the whitening gel to your teeth using the brushed tip. The mixture will need to rest on your teeth for about twenty minutes in order for the peroxide to react with the molecules that have caused the staining on your teeth. Last, but not least, you enjoy your beautiful smile!
